Portola Park

The 10.08-acre Portola Park is located in the center of the city, to the north of West Electric Avenue and to the west of South Euclid Street. It is bordered on the west by South Euclid Street. 1975 was the year that marked the beginning of its existence. Portola Park is a highly well-visited park, and one of the reasons for this is that it offers a wide variety of services. The complex includes, in addition to the Children’s Museum in La Habra, which is recognized for attracting people from all throughout Southern California, a dinosaur garden that was constructed by the Museum. In addition, the Museum is utilized as a teaching facility by educators hailing from a diverse range of geographic areas. This park once housed an old train station, which has since been renovated and turned into the Children’s Museum. The train station has been incorporated into the park. The railroad station was recently extended as part of the museum’s recent expansion, which resulted in the creation of a new building that extends the original railroad station while preserving the building’s architectural integrity. Both the La Habra Tennis Center and the Depot Theater may be found in close proximity to one another in La Habra, right adjacent to the park’s parking lot.

Day Care Centers

There are two day care centers that are operated by the city that are located within the park, and between the two of them, they look after approximately 600 children. The day care facilities can use the fenced-in playground areas that are located within the park itself.

Community Theater

There is a community theater that may be utilized, and it provides a stage for plays in addition to various types of theatrical performances.

La Habra Tennis Center

In addition, there is the La Habra Tennis Center, which has a total of twelve courts that are well lit, as well as a pro shop and locker facilities. The facility can accommodate students of varied ages and also rents out private courts for use by individuals. In addition to the three baseball fields in the park, which each have bleachers for spectators, there is a large open area that can be used for picnicking on the northern side of the park. There is just one parking lot that everyone can use, and it serves all of these purposes.
