El Dorado Nature Center

Looking for some nature in the heart of the city? El Dorado Nature Center, located between the San Gabriel River and the 605 Freeway, is a natural habitat oasis that allows visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

The 105-acre Nature Center grounds serve as a haven for animals and plant life. A 14-mile paved track and two miles of dirt trails wrap around two lakes, a creek, and forested regions. Cross the wooden bridge that spans the lake at the entry to arrive on a small island that contains the Visitor Center, which includes educational displays, an art gallery, and a small gift store selling ecologically related literature and items.
