City National Grove of Anaheim
The City National Grove of Anaheim is an indoor, live music venue in Anaheim, California owned by Nederlander Concerts of Los Angeles. It has a capacity of around 1,700 people.
The Grove is located immediately east of Interstate 5 on Katella Avenue, less than two miles (3.2 kilometers) from the Disneyland Resort. The Grove is located near the northwest corner of the parking lot at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, home of the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball. It is also close to the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, which has Amtrak and Metrolink service.
Tinseltown Studios, an awards show themed facility, debuted as City National Grove of Anaheim in 1998. The structure was transformed into a music venue in 1999 and called The Sun Theatre before becoming The Grove of Anaheim. The City of Anaheim purchased the theater in 2002 and appointed Nederlander Concerts as the venue’s exclusive manager, operator, and programmer. Following a naming rights arrangement with City National Bank, the venue’s name was changed on January 24, 2011 to City National Grove of Anaheim.
Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Ray Davies, Jeff Beck & Johnny Depp, Air Supply, Chiquis, Enrique Bunbury, Julio Iglesias, Joe Satriani, Boz Scaggs, Halford, Merle Haggard, George Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Seal, MattyBRaps, Machine Gun Kelly (musician), Something Corporate, Live, Everclear, and Jaguares have all performed here.
